Our interior stone flooring is widely used in commercial and residential applications. Architects specify our slate flooring and other stones for their natural beauty, performance characteristics, low maintenance, and durability. And because we produce these stones in custom sizes and offer several finishes, architects also appreciate the flexibility our materials afford them in their designs. Borders, thresholds and base frequently complement interior flooring.

Interior Flooring - Available in squares, rectangles, patterns, irregular and custom shapes. Available in many sizes, thicknesses and finishes.

Borders - Decorative border pieces can be custom-fabricated or simply cut from field pieces.

Thresholds - Thresholds are usually custom-fabricated to span the length of a doorway. The top surface can be flat or angled as specified.

Base - Base pieces can be custom-fabricated or simply cut from field pieces. The top exposed edge should be honed.

Many standard sizes available. Custom sizes depend on stone selected, finish, thickness, joint width and other factors. Irregular shapes also available.

Many patterns available upon request. Or design your own.

thickness

Depends on use, stone selected, finish, piece size, setting method and other factors. For slate, minimum suggested thickness for commercial applications 1/2”; for residential applications 1/4”.

joint widths

Depends on stone selected, finish, piece size and other factors. Some products can be set with butt joints (tight to each other with no mortar joints).

cost estimates

We are pleased to provide quotations based upon quantity surveys, sketches or architectural drawings.

drafting

We are accustomed to working from architectural drawings. Our in-house drafting department is pleased to produce detailed shop drawings, sketches, templates and shop tickets.

technical support

We are pleased to assist with samples, test data, mock-ups, budget figures, site inspections, stone matching services, guide specifications, technical information, design suggestions and installer and installation recommendations.

installation

Generally thin-set or mud-set. Contact us for specific sketch details, specifications, recommendations, etc.
